NE-Metallspezialitäten Vertriebsges. mbH was founded in 1995 by graduate economist Klaus-Dieter Nickel (dipl. oec.) as a wholesaler of semi-finished metal products not listed as standard on the semi-finished product market.
Due to continued growth, the company relocated to Kempens in 1995, and in recent years has expanded its storage capacity to approx. 5000 m². With the planned expansion to include an additional 1,600 m² by the end of 2019, more than 6,000 m² will be available for the storage of over 1,000 tonnes of material.
From its base in Kempen, this second-generation family business supplies the global market, and has established itself as a reliable partner for industry and commerce.
In addition to the distribution of aluminium, copper, brass, bronze and special alloys, the company’s range also includes steel and plastics, as well as processing options such as complete CNC machining, water jet cutting, laser cutting, and various surface treatments.
In order to optimise customer processes, customers can pick up in-stock goods in person just a few hours after ordering or arrange express delivery, among other options. There is also no minimum purchase quantity or minimum invoice value.
As a training company, we believe in providing employees with regular training opportunities, enabling them to grow and change as markets and customer requirements grow and change, and thus enabling them to focus on customer satisfaction.

As a second-generation successor in the company, it is important to me that it continues in the founder’s spirit.
Our employees are motivated to help our customers find solutions, to do their best for the company and thus to communicate the company’s philosophy to the outside world. This fills me with pride. In our company, “we can’t” is a phrase you rarely hear. Rather, our refrain is “send it in, we’ll take care of it”. And it doesn’t matter if the task fits our portfolio: we accept challenges and rise to them with relish, whether the request is for a helicopter landing pad, special steel or aluminium balls. Open communication with our customers is firmly anchored in our day-to-day work, and even in the age of digitisation we still value personal contact.
Naturally, we can only be as good as the partners we work with, so we prefer to maintain long-term customer and supplier relationships rather than recording short-term successes. This was the right decision when the company was founded over 20 years ago, and we believe it’s the right decision now.
